DAY 1: Flying From Zanzibar to Selous Game Reserve (Boat & Village Tour)

After breakfast, your adventure to the roof of Africa will begin. A journey of 2 hours drive will be maximum to reach the Machame Gate. Your hike will begin soon after completing the necessary registrations at the gate.

We depart the park gate and walk through the rain forest on a winding trail up a ridge. At lower elevations, the trail can be muddy and slippery. Gaiters and trekking poles are a good idea here. We continue a short distance until we reach the Machame Camp.

Day 2: Full-day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, you will do a full-day game drive from 07h30 until the evening in Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve). The journey will start from the Africa Safari Camp where you will be picked up by our professional drivers and guides. Today, you will get to enjoy various tourist attractions like spotting wildlife including elephant, zebra, giraffe, antelope and more. You will also see birds and other landscape scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains.

In the afternoon, you will get a packed lunch and some time to rest, then continue with the game drive until the evening. Return to Africa Safari Selous for dinner and sleep and prepare for the last day.

Day 3: Bushman Walking Safari & Flying to Zanzibar

On your last day, before breakfast, you will do a walking tour in the forest with our Bushman, accompanied by an armed ranger. We return to the hotel for breakfast and prepare for our trip to the Mtemere Airstrip where you will be picked up by our drivers for your flight to Zanzibar.
